"We got out of the van. She went to sit on a log in the middle of the lot, looking at the pebbles, the bugs. I laid on the grass beside her. I remember the freeness she felt, the connection with nature again, the love she had. She was like an animal just out of its cage, stopping at the first safe place, memories flooding back. I was thinking...This is what I have to give her. And I was enjoying the physical beauty of her. And enjoying that she was enjoying. Men love to be loved."
