I do not furnish the mat, although it is part of a Contraire picture. I have noted the proper mat color (Crescent) on the picture itself so that any place that frames pictures should be able to furnish an equivalent mat. On most pictures a mat that is 3 and 3/8 wide before framing looks good. When possible I will include a small section of the proper color mat.
FRAMES
For a frame I recommend a small off-white one. I think the off-white metal Nielsen molding (nls1540)(0937050627) looks the best Anybody that frames pictures should be able to get this for you. This frame looks good with every picture. Use glass or Plexiglas in front of the picture.
Important note about these original paintings
These originals are about 6.75 inches smaller than the size listed under them. I didn’t do this to trick you. One of the big differences between contraire and all other pictures is the colored mat completes the picture. I show mats around the originals below so you can see what they will look like, but I don’t furnish the mats because they won't fit in the cardboard tubes I ship in. So--the size noted below each original is the approximate size after you put a mat around it. However, on the PayPal buttons at the bottom--I have noted the approximate size of the usable part of your picture (the part you will see after you mat it).
Pictures are acrylic and black marker on watercolor paper and I have reserved the reproduction rights.
The color around these pictures shown below is approximately the same color the mat will be when you have it matted.
